In May 2022, we established the Sustainability Committee as an organization directly under the Board of Directors to promote sustainability initiatives. The Committee is chaired by the President and Representative Director, who serves as the Chief Sustainability Officer, and its members consist primarily of Executive Officers and Business Division Heads. The Committee formulates sustainability policies, goals, and implementation plans; manages progress and evaluates performance against goals; deliberates on specific initiatives; and regularly reports and makes proposals to the Board of Directors, driving our sustainability efforts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div>

From a sustainability perspective, we identified social issues deeply relevant to our group by discussing the current status and future projections of the SDGs and conducting surveys. We then evaluated these issues using two indicators: “importance to Hokuriku Electric Industry” and “importance to society.” Based on this evaluation, we discussed and identified the material issues (key challenges) requiring our attention in the next step.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div>
