* Hokuriku developed 0.4mm x 0.2mm size chip resistor
2. December , 2002
Hokuriku Electric Industry Co., Ltd.

This time, Hokuriku has developed ultra-micro size chip resistor.

  Along with further miniaturization of application products such as cellular phone or digital camera, we are adding the ultra-micro size chip resistor in our resistor line.

  We have achieved ultra-micro size to 0.4mm~0.2mm~0.12mm (thickness), as well as extremely high precision to }0.02mm in dimensional tolerance.  In order to achieve them, we have employed slice method technology, instead of conventional chocolate-break method which is used for 1.0mm~0.5mm size or bigger. The slice method was firstly used for 0.6mm~0.3mm size chip resistor.
By using metallic thick film for resistor element, it has excellent climatic resistance and durability. It yields good solderability by reflow soldering and is adaptable to further high density mounting.

Features
  • Its micro size, 0.4mm~0.2mm is suitable for high-density mounting.
  • Its dimensional tolerance, }0.02mm is highly precise.
  • Reflow-soldering can be employed.
  • By using metallic thick film for resistor element, it has excellent climatic resistance and durability.
