Diversity & Inclusion
Basic Approach
Basic Approach
Supporting diverse work styles for diverse talent not only aids in securing and developing human resources. We believe that increasing the number of employees with diverse backgrounds also promotes innovation. We foster organizational unity by embracing diverse talent and mutually recognizing each other.
Promoting Hiring of Foreign Nationals
We prioritize diversity and actively seek talent nationwide in Japan and globally, including foreign nationals and naturalized citizens.

Expanding Experienced Hiring
1) Aiming for a ratio of 30% or more
Experienced hiring is crucial for diversity, regardless of industry. We actively recruit highly specialized roles and ambitious talent essential for aligning with our business strategy. Currently, experienced hires constitute about 20% of our workforce. We aim to increase this ratio to over 30% going forward.
2) Promoting the Active Participation of Senior Employees
Senior employees, with their wealth of experience, play vital roles in business continuity and skill transfer to the next generation. To promote their active participation, we are extending retirement ages and improving conditions for continued employment.
Promoting Employment of People with Disabilities
We engage with special needs high schools and disability employment support facilities. Through work experience placements and training, we are advancing flexible and stable hiring practices that prioritize diversity.

Promoting Women's Participation
1) Increasing the Proportion of Female Managers
Amidst a declining working-age population due to low birth rates and an aging society, developing diverse talent, including women, is essential for sustainable corporate growth. We actively plan and implement initiatives such as women’s development projects and seminars.
Against this backdrop, the ratio of female managers reached 5.9% in fiscal year 2024. Moving forward, we will promote women’s advancement with targets of 8% by fiscal year 2027 and 10% by fiscal year 2030.

2)Strengthening Promotion Efforts by Female Executive Directors
As part of the female management development project, a committee has been established with participation from female directors. Regular cross-departmental exchange meetings are held, primarily operated by women. These include study sessions on company products and systems, investigations into workplace issues, proposals, implementation, and feedback. Furthermore, discussions are held from a female perspective to improve employee engagement and promote the creation of a workplace environment where women can thrive.

Diverse Work Styles (Experienced Hires)
Career Change from a Different Industry (Information Systems Department, Y.N.)
I belong to the Information Systems Department, primarily responsible for system management and operations. My previous job was at a winery in Nagano Prefecture, where I handled all systems—a career change from a different industry. The knowledge and experience I gained there are proving extremely valuable.
In my personal life, having more days off has increased the time I spend with my wife, enriching our conversations. We enjoy Toyama's delicious food and sake. My new life in Toyama has a different charm from Nagano and is very fulfilling.
The workplace has a warm atmosphere with active communication, making it easy to consult colleagues. Within this company culture that values teamwork, I aim to further grow while leveraging my experience.

Diverse Work Styles (Foreign Hiring)
A supportive workplace where we advance steadily (Manufacturing Department, K.N., from China)
After joining through experienced hiring, I was assigned to the Manufacturing Department within the Component Business Division, where I primarily handle production management for products manufactured at our Chinese factory.
Initially nervous about the new environment, I am grateful that the bright and positive workplace atmosphere now allows me to approach my daily tasks with confidence.
I feel a sense of fulfillment every day, knowing I contribute through daily discussions with the Chinese factory, leveraging my language skills and previous experience in production management at overseas factories. This workplace is also full of opportunities for challenge and growth, and the cooperative company culture is very appealing.
